Scheduling a Hearing Test
A hearing test is an evaluation of a person’s ability to hear different sounds and their sensitivity to various noises and sounds. The intention is to help determine the degree of hearing loss (if any) or the kind of hearing loss a person is experiencing. During a comprehensive hearing exam, we will ask you questions about your hearing and hearing health history as well as inspect the condition of your ear canals and eardrum.
After your ears have been examined, you will undergo an auditory test likely involving a series of tones or voices at different frequencies presented to each ear separately.
All steps of a hearing test are painless. Afterwards, we will discuss the results of your hearing test and make recommendations for next steps if necessary.

April 13, 2026I’ve been coming to the Laconia office for about 2 years now. From the moment I stepped in the office I felt like I was at home. Comfortable and pretty waiting room. Super friendly staff. I didn’t think I’d be able to get hearing aids due to the cost. But Dr Vanier worked magic to help me! I have moved away from the office, but I won’t give this place up! I drive over 3 hours to get here and I’m sad when I have to leave!!
